Hello! I'm Kendra...

I am a film director and a multi-Northwest Regional Emmy-winning producer/editor. My extensive experience spans from film production to film festivals and I am passionate about telling stories of adolescence and girlhood. I am creative and cheerful, and I hope to bring some color and kindness into this world through my work!

Some career highlights:

🎥 30+ film productions worked on. Roles include: Director, Producer, 1st AD, Editor, and Actress

🎤 25+ press, speaking, and teaching engagements (I adore public speaking!)

🗓️ 11 years of event planning experience, with an emphasis on film festivals

🍿 10+ film festivals I have either programmed or been a juror for

🏆 2 Northwest Regional Emmys

Recently, my passion for joyful content has led me to work in the children's media industry, where I have worked as:

📽️ Festival Director of the Children's Film Festival Seattle, which is the largest kid-friendly film festival on the West Coast.

✨ Director of Talent and Culture for the Children's Media Association, a nonprofit association of media professionals who are committed to creating and distributing thoughtful, entertaining media to children and young adults.

👩🏼‍💻 Editor for the Telly and Emmy-winning children’s television series Look, Listen, and Learn, the popular preschool YouTube channel it’s CeCe! tv, and the climate-focused kids show Suzie Hicks the Climate Chick.

🎬 Director of my own whimsical films including my short film A Dreamer’s Melody which screened at over 20 children’s film festivals around the world. My newest short film, untouchable, is currently on the festival circuit!

Sometimes I even work in front of the camera, like when I played the character of Lucy in the television series Live+Local or when I talk about films on the Seattle talk show New Day NW. When I’m not making films, I’m dancing in Jazzercise, drinking tea, and sewing!
